A Public Health Initiative
The Tamil Nadu Cancer Statistics Project (TNCSP) is a student-led initiative transforming complex statistics into clear, actionable knowledge to empower communities across the state.
Our work is built on a foundation of core values that ensure our impact is meaningful, ethical, and sustainable.
We ground our insights in verified, open-source data to provide information that is accurate, trustworthy, and impactful.
Our project is for the people. We prioritize community engagement and grassroots awareness to ensure our work reaches those who need it most.
We believe knowledge should be free and easy to understand. We are committed to open-source principles and creating resources for everyone.
We are a collective of students, researchers, and developers united by a single goal: to empower our communities with clear, data-driven health insights.

Co-Founder
With an interest in molecular biology, genetics, and biostatistics, I aim to use cancer statistics to raise awareness in Tamil Nadu, where public understanding remains limited and the need for early detection is critical. Cancer is close to home—and awareness here is rare. I want to change that.
Head, Erode Wing
Coming from a doctor's household, Krishnaraj is deeply moved by the cause behind this project and hopes to bring about the much-needed awareness and impact. Deeply interested in biology and gaining real-world experience, he looks forward to using his strengths and contributing to the project to the fullest.
Campaigner + Data Collection Member
Passionate about chemistry, and open to exposure, Dharshan wants to contribute to this project to help people know that cancer isn't unstoppable, and seed a sense of safety against cancer, here in Tamil Nadu.
Campaigner
Eager to explore genetics and biochemistry, I aim to ensure complete transparency in cancer statistics and make this information easily available to all. Driven by familial struggles with cancer, I hope to highlight the importance of early screening to help and protect others. We may have cancer, but cancer does not have us.
Campaigner
Drawing on both my academic perspective as an avid biology student and personal encounters with cancer, I hope to empower the public to take meaningful steps toward safeguarding the health of those they cherish. Unity is strength against cancer.
